Mugs and Tumblers: What to Check
- Material: mugs are usually ceramic; tumblers are usually stainless steel with a lid. The product description gives the exact material where listed.
- Capacity: given in ounces in the product options or description.
- Print area: some designs wrap around the body, others sit on one or both sides. The mockup shows the layout.
How they are printed
Mugs and tumblers are usually decorated by sublimation, which fuses the design into a coating on the surface. Most ceramic mugs come out with a smooth, glossy finish.
Care
Hand wash with a soft sponge to keep the print bright for as long as possible, and skip abrasive pads. Follow the listing for dishwasher and microwave use. Never put a stainless-steel tumbler, or any piece with metal trim, in a microwave.
